OPB uses this website to collect personal information you submit for the purpose of considering you as a candidate for employment. Your personal information will also be included in your employment records if you become an OPB employee. The information we collect here will not be used for any other purpose except to the extent that aggregate information may be used for internal reporting and benchmarking of our business processes.
OPB may engage a third party service provider to perform a variety of functions, such as to provide technical services for our career page or to conduct background screening of successful candidates. OPB has confidentiality agreements with its service providers and, similar to the above, they may only use such personal information for the purpose of performing these functions and may not use it for any other purpose. Both OPB and its service providers are committed to protecting your personal information and employ appropriate security safeguards to protect against its loss, theft, unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use, modification or deletion. Some service providers may be located outside of Canada or have its parent company located outside of Canada. In those situations, the personal information you provide to us may be subject to the laws of the country in which the service provider or its parent company is located; these laws may permit the disclosure of your personal information to a government body or a court under different circumstances than what would apply in Canada.
You should be aware that the internet is never 100% secure. It is not necessary to include personal identifiers and information such as your Social Insurance Number or date of birth in your application. If you’re the successful candidate, we’ll collect the additional information we need from you at that time.
