Work Term: 8 to 12- month term, May 2026 start
Compensation: $53,100 to $55,000. Individual pay within this range is determined by several compensable factors, including the year of study, type of academic program, experience/qualifications and the number of prior co-op work terms completed.

About the role:
As a member of the HR & Internal Communications team at Ontario Pension Board (OPB), and reporting to the Internal Communications Program Manager, the Internal Communications Assistant (Intern) supports a wide range of corporate-level internal communications activities in collaboration with colleagues across the organization.
If you’re a detail-oriented, creative communicator with strong writing skills and an interest in driving engagement, this is a wonderful opportunity to learn more about the pension industry as you support broad-based employee communications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development and execution of communications plans and products on a variety of topics, which may include business critical updates, change management and employee engagement opportunities
- Participate in maintaining communications plans
- Assist with creating engaging content, including design, for sharing through corporate email channels and the intranet
- Assist with corporate events/town halls
Key Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in post-secondary education program in English, communications, digital media, journalism or a related field
- Strong written communication skills, including vocabulary and grammar, to draft a range of materials with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to effectively multi-task and manage priorities, adapting to competing objectives in a time-sensitive manner
- Strong technical proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint (general design abilities would be an asset)
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
- Experience conducting research, summarizing findings, and outlining recommendations
