We have an exciting opportunity for a Team Lead – Employer Reporting and Data Quality who is passionate about data integrity, operational excellence, and leading a high-performing team of Data Quality Specialists. Reporting to the Manager, Employer Reporting & Data Management, they will drive initiatives that enhance employer reporting, data governance and client satisfaction. The Team Lead delivers key contributions to ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of employer data, supporting strategic decision-making, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

*    Planning and scheduling work assignments, setting day-to-day priorities and objectives, reviewing and assigning general workflows to ensure departmental and organizational needs are achieved within required timelines.
*    Preparing and maintaining detailed data related statistics to conduct trend analysis of employer data reporting.
*    Providing oversight. on assigned projects/initiatives assessing risk and data quality in service delivery. 
*    Supporting the Data Quality Specialist’s to ensure efficient workload management to effectively maintain and exceed service level goals, providing recommendations for continuous improvement to the Manager. 
*    Processing and verifying complex client cases related to data management, managing client and/or business partner escalations and participating in development of calculations and content to achieve resolution.
*    Managing escalated client data requests and /or issues by leading the collaboration of internal/external business partners to investigate, research, and reach resolution, keeping partners well informed throughout the process.
*    Providing feedback and making recommendations to the Manager about workload, employee product training needs and progress, and implementing approved recommendations.
*    Collaborating closely with internal business partners to contribute to defining data quality standards, implementing data frameworks, and monitoring data across the organization.
*    Collaborating with Employer Services & Data Management leadership to ensure data accuracy, consistency and reliability across operational data platform and systems.
*    Building strong relationship with participating PSPP employers to promote a shared commitment to data management best practises, data quality and integrity. 
*    Building and maintaining interactive employer specific dashboards and reports capturing relevant data and contributions. 
*    Providing additional coverage support for the Client Services Team, Employer Services and Data Management.  


Key Qualifications

 

*    Proven team leadership experience to effectively motivate, empower, guide, instruct and support the team and hold accountable to performance expectations. 
*    Ability to train, guide, mentor team members, delivering feedback and coaching as needed in consultation with the Manager. 
*    Working knowledge of federal tax legislation, policies, procedures governing the administration of the Public Service Pension Plan including the Pension Benefits Act, the Public Service Pension Act, the Income Tax Act and the Family Law Act. 
*    Expertise in data governance, modeling, and business intelligence tools.
*    Solid understanding of data modeling techniques, comfortable working with structured data and semi-structured data.
*    Strong understanding and experience of best practices in data management, governance models, practices and standards.
*    Good understanding of data extraction translation and load protocols as well as migration.
*    In-depth knowledge and proficiency with MSOffice suite, MS Teams, Excel.
*    Exposure and/or experience working with Data Modelling and Business Intelligence tools. 
*    Excellent communication skills to manage and resolve issues and explain policy/process/procedures and to write correspondence and reports. 
*    Ability to translate and explain complex technical concepts for various Employers and Stakeholder audiences. 
*    Ability to manage complex client issues and drive operational improvements.
